Construction Now Underway at 88 North Terrace
Adelaide’s future landmark student accommodation has officially broken ground.

Built by Synergy Construct, this $450 million development, delivered by 1835 Property and Marlborough Capital and fully supported by Trinity Church, will transform the precinct into Adelaide’s largest and most premium purpose-built student accommodation tower.
Rising 33 storeys with 970 beds, the building will become one of the city’s tallest and most iconic structures upon completion in mid-2028. Operated by UniLodge, Australia’s leading student accommodation provider, 88 North Terrace will deliver unrivalled premium living just steps from Adelaide University City West campus and the growing BioMed precinct.
Future residents will enjoy best-in-class features including over 95% private studios with ensuites and queen-size beds, a cinema, 24/7 gym, yoga studio, study zones, social lounges, café, communal kitchens and dining areas, plus a beautifully landscaped public piazza connecting the tower to North Terrace.
The project also breathes new life into the wider site through extensive heritage restoration of Trinity Church (Adelaide’s first church, opened 1838), the Parish Hall and Delbridge House - the first time the historic precinct has been fully vacated since 1838. This is a powerful vote of confidence from Trinity Church in the future of Adelaide’s CBD.
Construction is expected to support over 350 direct and indirect jobs and, once complete in mid-2028, will contribute to the ongoing revitalisation of the city’s west end.
